    FOUNDER

Tonai (pronounced Tone-Eye), I am a versatile artist proficient in music production, graphic design, and video editing. Beyond the realm of creativity, I am a dedicated farmer with a focus on regenerative and sustainable practices. My journey began in 2012 as a cannabis grower in Southern Oregon and Northern California, evolving into food cultivation during the pandemic.

Having completed a 7-month internship with Rouge Farm Corps in 2023, I am committed to fostering culture change through New Cultivation. My farming education aims to create models for maximizing backyard garden space, ensuring food security and inspiring specialized growing projects. I envision serving those without land access, building an organized farming community, and expanding into food deserts.

At New Cultivation, my work transcends artistic boundaries, centering on Audio/Visual art design and education. My commitment to personal growth is evident through completing Communal Consults training, practicing somatic abolitionism, and obtaining certification as a peer support specialist in Oregon. I am not only an active performer and recording artist but also open for garden consultations, gearing up to teach classes in 2024 to share my expertise and contribute to a grassroots, sustainable food system.
